Welcome to the fourteenth annual Namken Red Angus Production Sale! It’s an exciting time to be in the cattle business. After the sacrifices this work requires, it feels good to see those efforts rewarded. Whether you’re marketing a calf crop you bred and raised or finally selling that old cow that needs a new home, strong markets seem to put a little extra spring in everyone’s step, even when the weather isn’t cooperating. Our program starts with one priority: a strong, maternal cow, followed by growth. We run our own commercial cows, test our bulls on them, and finish every animal that doesn’t make the replacement pen. How many seedstock producers can say that? We are truly excited about this year’s offering as this set of bulls has been especially fun to watch develop. They’ve been raised the same way we do it every year, developed to be athletes, not fat bulls that melt down by midsummer. Each year we’re humbled by the number of comments we hear like, “Your bulls hold up better than any others we’ve purchased.” That means a great deal to us. Your investment in our program matters, because if you’re not satisfied, neither are we. We want to thank our loyal customers who have supported us for 26 years.
