Luego se busca POTENCIAR los árboles existentes en el parque, ejemplares imponentes que definen el carácter de la Embajada. Con esta idea, la piel de madera se amolda a los árboles más importantes integrándolos en la nueva Cancillería, a la vez que por su similar materialidad dialoga con ellos pasando a ser un elemento más del parque. Gracias a la piel de madera se logra VOLCAR la nueva Cancillería hacia el parque y dejar que la luz y las vistas penetren al máximo en esta, mejorando los espacios de trabajo y estancia. La forma en zig-zag de la piel genera patios de luz, espacios interiores- exteriores donde los árboles existentes y algunos nuevos se posicionan en el interior de esta piel de madera, integrándose a la edificación. Con estas premisas, la propuesta final consiste en la creación de una piel permeable que unifica el conjunto, manteniendo el edificio primitivo de la Cancillería y proponiendo un volumen edificatorio nuevo adecuado a las necesidades de uso. Todo este nuevo conjunto genera una ‘L’ que enmarca el Palacio y lo recupera como protagonista de la Embajada.
Then the purpose shall be to ENHANCE the existing trees in the park, towering specimens that define the character of the Embassy. With this idea, the wooden skin accommodates to the most important trees integrating them into the new Chancellery, while at the same time the material similarity relates to them becoming one more element of the park. Thanks to the wooden skin, the new Chancellery is TURNED towards the park allowing light and views to penetrate deeply, improving the conditions of working and living spaces. The zigzag shape of the skin generates light wells, outdoor-indoor spaces where existing and new trees are positioned inside this wooden skin, integrating into the building. With these principles, the final proposal is to create a permeable skin that unifies the complex, preserving the original building of the Chancellery and proposing a new built volume appropriate to the functional needs. This entire new assembly creates an "L" that frames the Palace and recovers its main role in the Embassy.
