Proyecto ganador de un concurso de anteproyectos, la idea base del conjunto fue conformar una unidad volumétrica y espacial con el Edificio Patrimonial de los Arsenales de Guerra. El partido completa volúmenes con la misma crujia y altura y propicia una continuidad espacial de los espacios interiores a través de los patios y corredores. El conjunto de edificios se cierra hacia la velocidad y escala de la Norte-Sur y hacia la congestión de calle Tupper para abrirse en forma controlada hacia la Plaza Ercilla y el Parque O'Higgins. As the winning project of a preliminary design competition, the basic idea for the complex was to configure a volumetric and spatial unity with the War Arsenals heritage building. The basic scheme completes the unit with volumes of equal height and width and encourages spatial continuity of the interior spaces through courtyards and corridors. The building complex is closed to the speed and scale of the North-South Expressway and to the congestion of Tupper Street, and opens in a measured way to Ercilla square and O'Higgins Park.
