AOA Medal for Lifetime Architectural Achievement: Cristián Fernández Cox

This leading architect from Catholic University, National Architecture Award of 1997 and American Architecture Award of 2011, was one of the founders of the Workshop of the Americas, with Sergio Larraín García Moreno and Enrique Browne, and presided over the first Chilean Architecture Biennale in 1977. He is one of the founders of the AOA and its first president in 1998. Among his most important works is the Pontifical Seminary of Santiago, the Montolín building and the Los Andes Tower. He is the author of several books, including the bestselling “Bienestancia”.
