La obra junto a la orilla consolidando la condición de borde del parque y acompañando ese ir a lo largo que suavemente se alza en un plano inclinado para construir una plaza-zócalo de piedra –levemente elevada sobre el parque– por encima de la cual surge el edificio del teatro, como un gran hito que hace entrar en relación el río y el parque con la ciudad, dotándola de un perfil singular que recortado contra el cielo o reflejado en las aguas del río le otorga un nuevo rostro (zócalo que alberga los espacios de servicios bodegas, talleres, instalaciones, camarines…).
The building by the river consolidates the border condition of the park and lines the promenade as it slowly climbs a slope to reach a stone paved square. The square is slightly elevated above the park, and over it the building rises as a grand landmark that connects the park and the river with the city, endowing it with a singular profile that cuts against the sky or is mirrored on the river and gives the city a new face (a ground level lodges the service areas, storage, workshops, technical and dressing rooms).
