El teatro y la sala para música de cámara, cual dos interiores, se separan a nivel peatonal para abrir entre ambos un espacio cubierto y protegido, un extenso umbral que acoge al público, haciendo del acceder un acto dilatado que sostiene su tránsito hasta atravesar las puertas, y continuar en una suerte de paseo interior hasta las salas. The theater and the chamber music hall become two interior places that separate at the pedestrian level to open between them a covered and protected space, a grand threshold which receives the user and transforms the act of entering into a long transit crossing the doors and continuing in a sort of inner promenade until reaching the halls.
Es que el acto de acceder requiere aquí de la medida de un tránsito expandido y sus voluptuosidades, cual preparación… Pues los visitantes no vienen cobijados por la continuidad que otorga el interior de la ciudad, como puede suceder en Europa, sino que han de habérselas con el descampado. Bien sea atravesando el parque, o accediendo desde los estacionamientos…, todos ellos se encontrarán forzosamente con lo destemplado. The act of entering requires here an expanded transit and its pleasures, as in a preparation. Because the visitors do not arrive sheltered by the continuity the inner city may provide, as can happen in Europe, but have to deal with a cold clearing. Whether coming through the park or entering from the parking lot they all necessarily encounter the barren cold.
Los interiores con sus rampas sinuosas que enlazan el despliegue de los suelos a diversas alturas (qué es un auditorio, un teatro, sino la multiplicación de incontables niveles), son la prolongación de este paseo que se inicia en el parque, que asciende hacia la plaza-zócalo y accede al espacio cubierto bajo el foyer –cual dilatado umbral–, construyen la continuidad para el pie y la variación para el ojo… The interior spaces –with their winding ramps that link the deployment of floors at various heights (what is an auditorium, a theater, other than the multiplication of countless levels)– are the extension of this promenade that begins in the park, rises to the main square and enters the space covered by the foyer, as an extended threshold, building continuity for the foot and variation for the eye.
