La propuesta concreta, dotada de una geometría ondulada y estratificada, permite esta unificación conformando una quinta fachada singular, a la vez referenciable al mundo de las bambalinas y al paisaje acuático al que sirve de atalaya. Esta idea también se hace extensible a la forma dada a la playa de estacionamientos, cuya geometría de hipódromo permitirán entenderla más como un equipamiento deportivo ocasionalmente ocupado por vehículos que como un estacionamiento. De esta forma la cultura, el deporte, la memoria y el paisaje se ordenan en una sucesión de organismos espaciales característicos, ensartados linealmente por el paseo junto a los márgenes del Bíobío, como un conjunto programático lineal que da sentido y refuerza esta localización única. Esta suma de acciones se entiende como una verdadera apuesta por la sostenibilidad general de la operación a las escalas edificada y urbana, atendiendo de forma racional en el primer caso a un factor de forma óptimo, sistemas constructivos que buscan el equilibrio entre luz natural y ganancias térmicas y técnicas de acondicionamiento basadas en la abundancia de agua en el lugar. Y en el segundo, a pavimentaciones naturales y permeables con un mínimo impacto ambiental. Pero sobre todo atendiendo a un equilibrio entre balance energético, huella ecológica y experiencia colectiva del espacio que consideramos el principio básico de una nueva belleza termodinámica.
The concrete proposal is endowed with a stratified and undulating geometry, allowing this unification and forming a unique fifth facade, while at the same time referencing the world of the theater backstage and the aquatic landscape that it serves as a lookout. This idea also extends to the shape given to the parking area, whose racetrack geometry defines it more as a sports venue occasionally occupied by vehicles than as a parking lot. In consequence, culture, sports, memory and landscape are arranged in a sequence of unique spatial organisms, strung in line on the promenade along the banks of the Bio Bío River, as a linear program that gives meaning and reinforces this unique location. This set of measures is understood as a true commitment to the overall sustainability of the operation at the construction and urban scales. In the first case rationally seeking an optimal form factor, building systems that seek a balance between natural light and thermal gains, and conditioning techniques based on the abundance of water on the site. And in the second case choosing natural paving surfaces, permeable and with minimal environmental impact. But especially finding a compromise between energy balance, ecological footprint and the collective experience of the space we consider the basic principle of a new thermodynamic beauty.
