cottonwoods, and others more hidden and mysterious, like those lining the pond and connecting the different buildings. This is how a series of areas were defined: the garden of the main house, the Araucaria pine walk, the garden of the Montes house, the cherry courtyard, the chapel garden and the lagoon, plus all the park paths. The garden of the main house is structured as a Moorish patio, spatially defined by its façade and the old wine cellar storage. The Araucaria walk is a winding path that climbs from one of the lookout points of the park and gets its name from the impressive Brazilian Araucaria dominating the place. The garden of the Montes house is located in the highest part of the site, serving as a viewing point over the rest of the park and the distant landscape. The chapel garden, amid a grove of acacia farnesiana trees, invites to prayer. To add to this contemplative atmosphere, a small stream joins in, with moss and ferns that form the undergrowth of the green mass. These spaces connect through a system of circulations generating all the park’s walks. Some more important, as the road facing the main house between old
