Victor y Pedro Gubbins reciben el Gran Premio AOA 2011 / Victor and Peter Gubbins received the Grand AOA Prize 2011.
El estudio Gubbins Arquitecto recibió el Gran Premio AOA, el reconocimiento más relevante otorgado por Asociación de Oficinas de Arquitectos que se entrega cada dos años a la oficina de arquitectura que de manera consistente se haya destacado por la calidad de su obra. Este año además la AOA instituyó otros tres reconocimientos: Premio a la Trayectoria, que recayó en Alemparte Barreda Wedeles Besançon Arquitectos, oficina fundada hace casi 60 años; Premio al Empresario, por el aporte al desarrollo de la Arquitectura, otorgado a Roberto Angelini; y Premio a la Trayectoria Académica, que dintinguió a Alberto Cruz, fundador de la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad Católica de Valparaíso y Premio Nacional de Arquitectura 1975. The Gubbins Arquitectos office received the Grand AOA Prize, the highest award granted by the Architectural Office Association and given every two years to the architecture studio that has consistently stood out through the quality of its work. This year AOA also established three other awards: the Lifetime Achievement Award, which went to Alemparte Barreda Wedeles Besançon Arquitectos, an office founded nearly 60 years ago; the Entrepreneur Award, for contribution to the development of architecture, given to Roberto Angelini; and the Academic Career Award, presented to Alberto Cruz, founder of the School of Architecture at the Catholic University of Valparaiso and National Architecture Award recipient in 1975.
