4. Arquitectura singular En el trayecto de la costanera se proponen tres puntos con equipamiento, fortaleciendo el carácter público y a modo de soporte artificial; dos edificios culturales de mediana escala (teatro, biblioteca, mediateca, etc) y un edificio intermodal como extensión del actual terminal de buses cohabitan con las instalaciones más efímeras del borde río. Cada edificio se articula de tal forma que deje libre la primera planta, dando paso a plazas techadas y muelles donde se ubicarán, por ejemplo, las estaciones de red de taxis fluviales. Estos edificios serán diseñados a través de concursos internacionales, generando no solo mejor calidad de vida sino aportando nuevos atractivos turísticos que posicionen a Valdivia como ciudad turística en el mundo. 5. Energía Manejo del agua, con optimización del agua lluvia para la mantención de áreas verdes; Generación de energía, iluminación de bajo consumo para alargar el 'día'; Gestión de residuos, con énfasis en clasificación de residuos e instancias educativas para mantener la costanera-parque saludable.
4. Unique architecture Along the waterfront promenade three points with facilities are proposed, strengthening the public character and as an artificial support; two middle-scale cultural buildings (theater, library, media center, etc) and an intermodal building as an extension of the existing bus terminal share the space with the transient facilities on the river edge. Each building is arranged in such a way to vacate the first floor, leading to covered plazas and docks which will lodge, for example, river taxi network stations. These buildings will be designed through international competitions, creating not only better quality of life but providing new attractions that position Valdivia as an international tourist city. 5. Energy The project proposes water management, with optimization of rain water for the maintenance of green areas; power generation, energy efficient lighting to extend the 'day'; waste management, with emphasis on waste classification and educational instances to keep the waterfront promenade - park healthy.
