CAU: It is said that the Petronas ended up being a very Malaysian symbol. In that same sense, what is your contribution to the Costanera Center tower in Santiago? - It is very different because in Chile there is a very old tradition of building and building well. There is very good architecture, while in Malaysia there was nothing. All that existed were two-story buildings in bamboo or the architecture left by the British, but that was not indigenous architecture, it was brought by a conqueror. So the task was to invent an architecture, whereas here there was nothing to invent.
