A través de una reparación material delicada que combina técnicas contemporáneas de análisis (con el fin de lograr especificaciones precisas sobre morteros, estucos y albañilería) y el uso eventual de resinas súper resistentes y acero inoxidable (para unir, suturar y consolidar la construcción), las ruinas del edificio deben ser mantenidas. Esto permitirá tener un edificio donde nuevas actividades puedan habitar, respondiendo al llamado de Morris de continuar agregando capas a la historia al lugar. El vacío existente al interior del sitio ofrece la posibilidad de reconstruir la tipología del bloque original y responder a la simetría del Beaux Arts para crear una nueva unidad. La estructura principal del edificio nuevo es de su tiempo, y está hábilmente inserta para permitir su uso sin alterar el sello del viejo Palacio.
Through delicate material reparation combining contemporary techniques of analysis (in order to achieve precise specifications for mortar, stucco and masonry) and the possible use of super resistant resins and stainless steel (to join, suture and consolidate construction), the ruins of the building must be maintained. This will provide a building where new activities may occur, answering the call of Morris to continue adding layers of history to the place. The void within the site offers the possibility of reconstructing the original block type and respond to Beaux Arts symmetry to create a new unit. The main structure of the new building is a reflection of its own time, and is cleverly inserted to permit its use without disturbing the character of the old palace.
