En un guiño al valor de la cultura y del conocimiento en la formación escolar, los BCD, CDI y el Teatro se ubican al centro de los patios, constituyéndose en hitos reconocibles. La espacialidad del interior, en desnivel, invita a la concentración y al silencio necesarios para el estudio e investigación. La estructura irá en madera para aportar calidez. Para las fachadas exteriores se propone una doble piel en base a celosías metálicas que responden a las distintas solicitaciones climáticas, cambiando su densidad según sea el destino y uso del tramo cubierto. La quinta fachada derivada del pliegue de la pendiente del cerro permite que en las cubiertas que se generen se diseñe un paisajismo que se funda con el entorno, disminuyendo el impacto visual de la nueva construcción, integrándola. El área deportiva surge de una segunda lectura de la ley de patios, una extensión mayor abierta que podría verse como el revés del patio del colegio, el lugar donde se abre la actividad al exterior y donde el movimiento es en la extensión.
As a gesture to the value of culture and knowledge in school education, the BCD, CDI and the Theater are placed at the center of their courtyards, becoming recognizable landmarks. Their split- level interior spatial condition invites to concentration and the necessary silence for study and research. The structure will be made of wood to provide warmth. For the exterior façades a double skin based on metal louvers responds to the different climate requirements with varying densities depending on purpose and use of the covered segment. The fifth façade derived from the fold in the hill’s slope allows for the landscaping of the generated roofs to blend in with the environment, reducing the visual impact of the new construction through integration. The sports area rises from a second reading of the courtyard organizing principle; a greater extension, which could be seen as the opposite of the school yard, the place where the activities open to the exterior and where the movement is towards extension.
