Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) needs your help to advance Bentley’s Law in Connecticut to require impaired drivers to pay child support when an impaired driver causes a crash that kills a parent or guardian.
Please email your lawmakers in support of Bentley’s Law here. Taking action is quick and easy.
What is Bentley’s Law? The measure, SB 844 by Senator Kissel, is modeled after a law in Tennessee, which makes impaired drivers pay child support to a surviving spouse or other relatives who are raising the children of impaired driving victims until the children turn 18. For more information, please visit our website. Bentley’s Law better ensures justice and accountability. MADD believes that passing Bentley’s Law will make people think twice before getting behind the wheel impaired. If a person makes the choice to drive impaired and kills a parent, the person will encounter another consequence for their deadly decision. To the victim of the impaired drivers, Bentley’s Law allows for another avenue of restitution to help ensure justice.

National Burn Awareness Week is a window of opportunity for organizations to share burn awareness and prevention message in our communities.Over the years, MADD Connecticut has served many victims and survivors who have suffered burn injuries from their crashes. If you or someone you know has suffered burn injuries from an impaired driving crash and would like assistance with finding resources or support, please contact the office at 203-764-2566 to speak with an advocate.
MADD CT has a number of awareness materials available including bumper stickers, red ribbon magnets and brochures. If you are interested in any materials please contact the office at 203-764-2566.

We wanted to take this opportunity to reintroduce our partnership with Trinity Solar and ask for your help.
MADD is working with Trinity Solar to raise money while helping homeowners in our community find a way to get control of your increasing utility bill.All we ask is that if you have been considering solar for your home or know anyone that would like to learn more, please sign up through this program. Trinity will help you to understand how solar works and find out if solar is a good choice for your home. By going through this program, MADD will also benefit.
Here's how it works:
·If your home qualifies, Trinity will reach out to set up a time for you to find out how much you can save. ·Just for sitting down and having a consultation, Trinity will contribute $100 to MADD. ·If you have solar installed, MADD will receive $1000 when your installation is complete.
By making an appointment, you are helping yourself and helping us to continue to support those that need our help, all at no out-of-pocket cost to you.
