El gesto del edificio surge de las formas que dibuja el viento, elemento natural característico de la zona. Su forma no busca irrumpir en el paisaje del lugar, sino sumarse y fundirse. Este propósito lleva a que el proyecto nazca de la tierra como un pliegue dibujado por el viento en la arena. El hotel se ancla al suelo con taludes y se reviste enteramente con entablado de madera de lenga, para lograr el característico color plateado que adquieren las maderas a la intemperie, tan propio de los galpones de secado de lana que existen en la Patagonia. The gesture of the building comes from the shapes created by the wind, a natural element of the region. Its shape does not seek to break into the local landscape, but to join and merge. This leads the project to rise from the earth as a fold drawn by the wind in the sand. The hotel is anchored to the ground with slopes and is entirely clad in lenga wood decking to achieve the characteristic silver color wood acquires in the open, so typical of the wool drying sheds that exist in Patagonia.
