Arquitectura Su fachada es un sistema mixto compuesto de una serie de muros y diagonales que reflejan cómo las fuerzas gravitacionales y cargas sísmicas deben buscar un camino distinto al habitual. La estructura responde al desplazamiento de varios metros desde la esquina del quinto piso a la cubierta, donde se diseñó un "office penthouse" con piscina para los inversionistas del proyecto. Diseño Pasivo El edificio se diseñó negando la tipología de "muro cortina", llevando su estructura al perímetro, esto permitió liberar el interior de las oficinas de la mayoría de los pilares y aumentó la masa térmica de la fachada. Así, los muros no son sólo estructurales, sino que también opacos y aislantes. Una sola masa, fácil de calentar o enfriar sin la necesidad de agregarle pieles o incurrir en un alto consumo energético. Architecture The facade is a composite system formed by a series of walls and diagonals that reflect how the gravitational forces and seismic loads search for a path that differs from the usual. The structure responds to the relocation of several square meters from 5th level corner to the roof terrace, where a penthouse office with pool for the project investors was designed. Passive Design The building was designed denying the ”curtain wall” typology: the structure is placed on the perimeter, and therefore frees up the office interior from most columns and raises the thermal mass of the facade. The walls are not only structural but opaque and isolation as well, one mass, easy to heat or cool without adding skins or incurring in high energy consumption.
