Nace el postítulo de Arquitectura del Paisaje
En persona hizo entonces las gestiones en la Universidad Católica para lograr dar al Paisajismo grado universitario. Propuso hacer una carrera y, en respuesta, le propusieron organizar junto al grupo IFLA-Chile un seminario, con la promesa de evaluar el desarrollo de un postítulo. Se armó el equipo de profesores participantes, en su mayoría arquitectos, y se definieron temáticas que abarcaran distintas disciplinas. Los 15 inscritos estimados sobrepasaron los 60, lo mismo en un segundo seminario. Finalmente, tras lo positivo de la experiencia y la buena evaluación de la universidad se dio el pase para crear el programa de Postítulo de Arquitectura del Paisaje del país. Junto a Cristina Felsenhardt estructuraron la malla curricular y tras superar las tramitaciones de rigor fue aprobado por la rectoría para comenzar a dictarse en 1989. Marta fue nombrada jefa de programa y como tal le correspondió viajar a Boston a validar el postítulo ante la IFLA. Se formalizó IFLA-Chile, que ella presidió por varios años, y junto al cuerpo académico y los primeros egresados más tarde formaron el Instituto Chileno de Arquitectos del Paisaje, ICHAP.
The Landscape Architecture Postgraduate program is born
She made the efforts herself at the Catholic University to endow landscaping a university degree. She proposed forming a program, and they counter proposed organizing with the IFLA-Chile group a seminar with the promise of evaluating the development of a postgraduate program. A team of participating professors was assembled, most of them architects, and topics in different fields were determined. The 15 estimated enrolment surpassed 60, which was repeated in a second seminar. Finally, after the positive experience and the good evaluation made by the university, she obtained approval to create the first Landscape Architecture program of the country. With Cristina Felsenhardt, she structured the course load and after the usual paperwork it was approved by the rectory to begin classes in 1989. Marta was appointed head of the program and as such had to travel to Boston to validate the postgraduate degree at the IFLA. IFLA-Chile was formalized, herself presiding for several years, and with the faculty and the first postgraduates later formed the Chilean Institute of Landscape Architects, ICHAP.

En un terreno de 4 há, se creó el entorno para una antigua casona convertida en hotel de Viña Matetic. Graderías de césped y muros de piedra ordenan los patios inmediatos, donde destacan palmeras originales, fresnos, variedad de herbáceas y rosas. Caminos, senderos y pérgolas invitan al recorrido entre flores silvestres al borde de un estero o ascendiendo hacia patios perfumados por enredaderas.

On a 4 hectare plot and surrounding an old manor converted into a hotel for the Matetic vineyard, the project showcases grassed ring seating and stone walls that set order to the immediate patios, featuring original palm trees, ash trees, a variety of grasses and roses. Roads, paths and gazebos welcome the visitor and lead towards a pond surrounded by wildflowers or to patios perfumed with creeper vines.
