“The Expeditions are poetic journeys through America done annually by the School of Architecture and Design of the PUCV. On 1984 they were integrated into its curricula with the participation of Architecture, Graphic Design and Industrial Design students and faculty. From then on the school organizes a set of Expeditions every year. Each workshop embarks on an Expedition. During the Expeditions the works made are inspired on the creativity of each craft, in a place in America determined by the research developed on each workshop. This work of the Architecture and Design Workshops responds to the generation of a Source. A Poetic one: the vision of Amereida. America needs to be traveled in its extension; it is essential to go to the continent, in order to acknowledge it and inhabit its emergency. The Expedition Works mark a place in the territory and have a temporary character. They point to a destination in America." These are some of the many Expeditions Miguel Eyquem was in charge of as teacher.
