Escantillón / Wall Section
The main objective was that the families could keep their advantages: proximity to work, education, transportation, health facilities and even quality public and recreational spaces. The houses are arranged around a collective courtyard, a territorial association of a mixed public-private character, crucial in such a fragile social environment. The interior of the houses gives their residents the opportunity to expand: from an initial single bedroom (plus an additional temporary bedroom) on the first floor, the homes can grow to have a living-dining room on the first floor, two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second, and a master bedroom on the third. The 150 units comprise the first stage of a total of one thousand households who will receive a solution to their housing needs at the end of the program.
El objetivo fundamental era que las familias pudieran mantener su calidad de vida: la cercanía a sus trabajos, a educación, al transporte, a establecimientos de salud e incluso a espacios públicos y de recreación de calidad. Las viviendas están ordenadas alrededor de un patio colectivo, una asociación territorial que cae entre el espacio público y el privado, crucial en un ambiente social frágil. El interior de las casas entrega a sus habitantes la posibilidad de crecer: de un dormitorio inicial (además de un dormitorio temporal) en el primer piso, las viviendas pueden llegar a tener un living-comedor en el primero piso, dos dormitorios y un baño en el segundo, y un dormitorio principal en el tercero. Las 150 unidades equivalen a la primera etapa de un total de mil familias que recibirán una solución al final del programa.
