El edificio –construido principalmente en hormigón visto, acero y cristal– se sustenta en la forma de una gran ala replicable en los distintos formatos, con un gesto nítido capaz de quedar en la retina del visitante. Sus detalles y terminaciones proponen una nueva forma de habitar la carretera, más amable, más natural, más tecnológica. La obra integra diversas formas de ahorro de energía sustentable, tales como un sistema de aerotermia, que estabiliza la temperatura interior del edificio aprovechando la temperatura del subsuelo incorporada al sistema de renovación de aire, paneles solares que aportan el 60% del agua caliente de todos los edificios, recuperación de aguas grises para el riego y un sistema de jardines y especies de mínimo requerimiento de riego.
The building –built mainly in concrete, steel and glass– is based on the shape of a wing, replicable in the different formats with a clear and memorable gesture. Its design details and finishes propose a new way of inhabiting the highway, more friendly, more natural, more technological. The work integrates varied forms of sustainable energy savings, such as an air thermal system that stabilizes the interior temperature of the building taking advantage of the underground soil temperature incorporated into the air renewal system, solar panels that provide 60% of the building’s hot water, gray water use for irrigation and a system of gardens and species requiring minimal irrigation.
