El partido general busca resolver, en una sola estructura, dos situaciones opuestas: por un lado, abrirse hacia el océano y por otro, construir un límite continuo, una protección estanca al entorno inmediato. El programa se resuelve en dos núcleos interiores agrupados en una envolvente única: el área principal y la zona de invitados, relacionados mediante una terraza techada protegida del ‘surazo’. Mientras el área principal de la casa se apoya paralela a la cota estableciendo una relación directa y cercana con el terreno, la zona de invitados se proyecta a contra cota consiguiendo la vistas lejanas de la rompiente hacia el norte. El carácter exterior lo define la sucesión de pliegues entre cubierta y muros perimetrales revestidos en teja de piedra pizarra negra. To enhance the visual relationship with the Pacific Ocean, the house is made to stand out and away by placing it on the highest point of the site, attaining a wider viewing angle and better use of the plot. The main idea aims to solve two opposite situations in a single structure: first, to open towards the ocean and then, to build a continuous limit, a solid barrier to the immediate environment. The program is solved with two inner cores grouped into a single enclosure: the main area and the guest
area, connected by a covered terrace protected from the “surazo” southern wind. While the main area of the house rests parallel to the slope establishing a direct and close relationship with the site, the guest area projects from the slope conquering distant views of the northern surf. The exterior character is defined by the succession of folds between roofing and perimeter walls, clad in black slate tile.
