- Cara oriente: Administración. Se mantiene la estructura del edificio existente, remodelando sus instalaciones para albergar a la Administración completa. A la fachada existente se antepone una nueva estructura que conforma un velo continuo que alterna paños traslúcidos y transparentes. - Cara superior: difusor de luz. La cubierta se construye con cerchas metálicas revestidas por dos superficies de materiales traslúcidos. De noche funciona como gran lámpara. - Cara inferior: suelo y cubierta. Es el piso del hall y la cubierta del Auditorio. De granito blanco brillante y de madera gruesa, respectivamente. Dos subterráneos dan cabida a los depósitos, laboratorios y Auditorio. Sobre las cubiertas, dos terrazas y el casino rematan las circulaciones verticales, tanto del edificio de Administración como del recorrido de exposiciones del Museo. Se reubica la Recepción entre el nuevo hall y el patio existente. Junto a ella se ubican la cafetería y la tienda. Desde este lugar se inicia la exposición. Se amplía la Biblioteca y se reubican las oficinas y salas didácticas en la esquina surponiente del edificio histórico. De esta forma se concentran los programas públicos en torno al patio, dejando con una condición más estanca el nuevo hall.
- Eastern face: Administration. The structure of the existing building remains, remodeling its facilities to accommodate the complete administration. In front of the existing facade a new structure is placed consisting of a continuous veil, with alternating translucent and transparent panels. - Top face: The light diffuser. The roof is built with steel trusses covered by two surfaces of translucent materials. At night it works as a great lamp. - Underside: Floor and roof. It is the floor of the hall and the roof of the Auditorium. Bright white granite and thick wood respectively. Two basements accommodate the depositories, labs and Auditorium. On the roof, two terraces and the cafeteria finalize the vertical circulations for both the administration building and the path of the museum exhibitions. The reception hall is relocated between the new and existing patios. Beside it stand the cafeteria and shop. The exhibition begins here. The library is enlarged and the educational rooms and offices are relocated to the southwest corner of the historic building. With this operation the public programs are concentrated around the courtyard, leaving the new hall in a more sealed condition.
