No se buscó diseñar un edificio que fuera diseño en sí mismo, sino plantear un sistema de integración donde la propuesta y el espacio público fuesen resueltos como un todo. El proyecto propone entonces replantear el borde nororiente del emblemático y fundacional Cerro Santa Lucía para lograr una integración con el barrio Lastarria y áreas vecinas, potenciando así el flujo de conexión de los ciudadanos y transformando un hito histórico en un hito de uso. The foundation of the degree project was to discover an area in Santiago and create through architecture, situations which were positive for the city and its users. The quest was not to design a building but to present a system of integration where the proposal and public space were designed as a whole. The project proposes then to rethink the northeastern edge of the emblematic foundational Santa Lucía Hill to achieve a successful integration with the Lastarria quarter and neighboring areas, thereby enhancing the free flow of citizens and transforming a historic landmark into a usable landmark.
