SECURING YOUR PLACE To secure your place, you will need to:
FUNDRAISING SUPPORT The team of professional fundraisers at IHF will provide you with fundraising support including: • Access to fundraising materials and IHF merchandise. • An online sponsorship account so friends, family and colleagues can sponsor you online through your own personalised webpage on https://www.idonate.ie/event/ CaminoChallenge2026IHF We will happily help you set this up. • Details for contacting a member of IHF’s Fundraising team. TRAINING SUPPORT UWalk.ie are on hand to offer advice and support on training requirements. We also plan to host a pre-trip briefing and training walk open to all participants in August (date and time TBC). It is important that you consider the varied terrain of the Camino, the lengths of the walks and the challenges these present. It has to be recognised that strong legs and a good cardiovascular fitness are essential. We can provide you with the following support to help you train: • A professionally prepared training guide. • An information session that includes a question and answer session with event staff. Self-motivation is essential. SUPPORT TEAM You will be supported by trained and professional guides who will accompany the group throughout the trip. Two IHF staff members will also be present to provide support and back-up. You can be assured of receiving the following support: • Transferring your luggage from hotel to hotel.
1. Register and pay a €300 non-refundable registration fee. You can do this by cheque, credit card over the phone, or bank transfer. 2. Pay the €1,300 balance of the tour cost by 15th July to secure your place on the trip. Your place will be confirmed once the full tour cost of €1,600 is paid. Note: No travel arrangements will be made for you until the balance of the tour cost is paid. Those who register between 15th July and 1st August will need to pay the full tour cost (€1,600) at time of registration. Anyone registering after 1st August may be subject to an increase in their tour cost. SPONSORSHIP TARGETS & DEADLINES Please raise and lodge your sponsorship/ fundraising of €2,000 to Irish Hospice Foundation prior to trip departure on 30th September 2026. If you haven’t reached your target by departure date, an extended deadline can be arranged, please speak to someone from the IHF fundraising team.
