groundbreaking research and insight into genetics and longevity. His newest book, released in September 2019, has a somewhat startling but extremely inspiring statement for readers: Aging is a disease, and disease is treatable. Through boundary-pushing research that he conducted in his own lab at Harvard, Sinclair demonstrates how humans can actually slow down, and in some cases, reverse , the process of aging through the activation of newly discovered vitality genes. He says these genes are the descendants of a string of ancient genetics that the world has only just rediscovered and began to tap back into. In the book, he takes a careful look at the effects of DNA damage and the instability it can cause, alterations in turning certain genes “on” and “off,” and other topics like stem cells, protein maintenance, and more. There’s admittedly a lot of science to work your way through when you read this book. But mixed in with the science are incredible real-life stories about people who have changed the way they think about age and the tactics they use to act upon their changing views. Even Sinclair himself talks about the regimens he uses and the lifestyle changes he’s made in order to live his life in accordance with his discoveries. Case in point: His 80-something father follows suit, and the man frequently accomplishes physically demanding activities like hiking and kayaking. Those are pretty astounding results in our opinion. We love sharing healthy inspirations with others, and this book is so fascinating and inspiring that we had to make sure we let our readers know about it. We hope you’ll find it as interesting and eye-opening as we did and that you’ll use it to help you live a long and happy life!
