COMMUNITY ACADEMY CLASS 31 GRADUATION
GOLDEN GRANTS
The Community Academy was held each Thursday night for nine weeks. The participants were educated in law enforcement and were able to thoroughly explore each division within the Lompoc Police Department. In addition, participants had the opportunity to go on one four-hour ride along with an officer.
The Lompoc Community Benefit Foundation (LCBF) for researched, applied, and secured a $1,000.00 grant found a grant opportunity with the McDonald's Golden Grant Program and applied with the purpose of the funds going towards the Lompoc Police Junior Police Camp.
LPD CELEBRATES READ ACROSS AMERICA
During the week of March 4th to March 8th, the Lompoc Police Department celebrated, “Read Across America” by visiting various elementary schools and reading to classrooms. This initiative aimed to promote community well-being and foster a love for reading.
