COFFEE WITH A COP Our second "Coffee with a Cop" event, hosted by Capulin Eats & Provisions, brought community members together with neighborhood patrol officers and Captain Arias. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and connect with their local police officers.

DISPATCH APPRECIATION WEEK We acknowledged and expressed our sincere gratitude for the dedicated efforts of our dispatching staff during the week of April 14- 20, 2024. We are proud to have six full-time dispatchers who serve our community tirelessly. Operating around the clock, they are the first responders when a call is made, playing a crucial role in ensuring public safety.

PROPERTY & EVIDENCE APPRECIATION WEEK We have one dedicated property officer, Community Services Officer Sandi Bailey, who is responsible for managing all property-related tasks. Sandi's responsibilities include receiving, cataloging, and storing evidence, maintaining the integrity of property, ensuring its safekeeping, and staying abreast of evolving laws pertaining to property and evidence management.

Lompoc Police Officers, dispatchers, and personnel participated in various career days within our community. These events were held at Lompoc Valley Middle School, Miguelito Elementary, and Vandenberg Middle School. Additionally, K9 Oz and his handler, Officer Justice, visited a fourth-grade classroom at Hapgood Elementary, where they demonstrated Oz's capabilities and duties in the field.
