Retired Officer Frank Lopez 24 years of service

Officer Frank “The Tank” Lopez commenced his career with the Santa Maria Police Department as a Reserve Police Officer on January 20, 1996. He served with the Lompoc Police Department from May 17, 2000, to October 8, 2001, before briefly returning to the Santa Maria Police Department from October 22 to November 29, 2001. Officer Lopez rejoined the Lompoc Police Department on December 1, 2001. Throughout his distinguished career, Officer Lopez assumed various roles, including Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, and SWAT Team Operator. He was renowned for his dedication, professionalism, and approachable demeanor, often bringing a friendly smile and a warm hug to all those fortunate enough to know him. After a commendable tenure, Officer Lopez retired on December 27, 2024. We express our heartfelt gratitude for his years of dedicated service and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.

Retired Police Records Technician II Sheila Davis 16 years of service

PRT Sheila Davis commenced her esteemed law enforcement career with the Santa Maria Police Department before transitioning to the Lompoc Police Department on June 23, 2008. Throughout her 16 years of dedicated service, Mrs. Davis excelled as a Police Records Technician II within our Police Records Section. In this capacity, she played a crucial role in preparing police reports for the District Attorney’s Office and compiling essential statistical data for state agencies. Her unwavering commitment to excellence and her cheerful demeanor left a lasting impression on both the department and the citizens of Lompoc. As she embarks on her well-deserved retirement, we express our heartfelt gratitude for her invaluable contributions and wish her happiness and fulfillment in this new chapter of her life. Her smile and positive presence will be profoundly missed.
