T he University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) has served students and the community for over 60 years. Since opening in 1965, the college has grown to serve more than 3,000 students annually. Today, UAHT offers over 50 certificates and degree programs, early college opportunities, community education courses, and business and industry training to meet the needs of a diverse population. At UAHT, we have something for everyone. We start with youth programs like Kids’ College and Camp Save-A-Life, which introduce children to the college experience through engaging, hands-on activities in STEM, healthcare, and more. For high school students eager to get ahead, UAHT offers exceptional opportunities. The award-winning and statewide- recognized Arkansas High Collegiate Academy, in partnership with the Texarkana Arkansas School District, allows students to earn an Associate of Arts degree while completing high school—entirely free of charge. Our Secondary Career Center offers certifications in high-demand fields such as HVAC, construction technology, welding, certified nursing assistant, emergency medical technician, and more. High school juniors and seniors can take advantage of these career-focused programs at no cost. Whether enrolling right after high school or returning to school to enhance your career prospects, UAHT offers a wide range of programs to help you succeed. Our certificate and degree offerings include high-demand fields like nursing, cybersecurity, construction technology, diesel technology, truck driving, and solar energy, as well as unique programs such as bladesmithing, fiber optic technician, and funeral service. Many of these programs

can be completed in less than a year, allowing you to start your career quickly and affordably. For students planning to transfer to a four-year university, UAHT offers affordable and transferable associate degrees. Our partnerships ensure seamless transitions to Arkansas public universities, including the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where students can continue their education at UAHT’s tuition rate. We also maintain transfer agreements with Texas A&M University- Texarkana, offering even more options for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree closer to home. UAHT doesn’t just prepare students for the workforce—we enrich the community. We offer adult education, GED courses, and tailored business and industry training programs designed to meet specific workforce needs. UAHT is proud to offer some of the most affordable tuition and fees in Arkansas, including for border county residents in Bowie, Cass, Red River, Marion, Morris, and Titus counties in Texas. With over 125 institutional and private scholarships and a book rental program that costs just $20 per credit hour, most UAHT students graduate with little to no debt.
