VITCAS ® IFB INSULATION FIREBRICKS
The Vitcas ® range of Insulation Firebricks are made from specially formulated high-purity refractory clays with varying alumina contents in a manufacturing process which results in a controlled pore structure. They are much less dense and therefore lighter in weight than fireclay bricks. The low thermal mass makes them most suitable for situations where heat storage is to be avoided. Examples of application: hot face linings in ceramic kilns, back up insulation in furnaces, forges, brazing hearths and heat treatment furnaces.

Grade 30 – 72% Al 2 O 3 - Maximum Service Temperature 1650°C /3000°F
REFRACTORY BRICKS
VITCAS ® HIGH DUTY BRICKS Vitcas ® Firebricks are High Duty Fireclay bricks with a low iron and alkali content. The maximum temperature in service is 1350°C and the density is 2200kg/m 3 . Dense firebricks are preferred where higher thermal mass and heat storage are important. Examples of Applications: Carbon bake furnaces in the aluminium industry, Preheat zones and cyclones of rotary cement kilns, Primary reformers in fertilizer production, Insulation for glass tanks, Reheating Furnaces, Domestic fireplaces, barbeques and outdoor ovens.

VITCAS ® HIGH ALUMINA BRICKS Vitcas High Alumina Bricks have a high density and high strength. The maximum temperature in service is 1450°C with a density of 2600kg/m 3 and an alumina content of 60%.
