Every Member Evangelism The Sunday School Times Co. has circulated many of the best works on personal evangelism, and this new work by J. E. Conant, the well-known Bible teacher and evangelist, will be a no table addition. Dr. Conant sets forth the divine program for every Christian and puts the responsibility for soul winning where it belongs. He gives the divine dynamics that will mane effec tive workers, and presents many prac tical methods. Cloth, $1.50. Life of Robert Laws of Livingstonia W. P. Livingstone, author of the pop ular missionary stories, “ Mary Slessor of Calabar,” “ The White Queen of Oko- yong,” “ Christina Forsyth” and others, has issued through Doran Co. this fas cinating story of Robert Laws. No more striking story has come from the mission field since Livingstone’s "Lasi Journals” were published fifty years ago. Robert Laws was Livingstone’s successor in Central Africa, the man who realized his dreams. This is a wonderful story of adventure and mis sionary achievement. Cloth, $3.00. ^1^, “No drop but serves the slowly lifting tide, No dew but has an errand to some flower, No smallest star but sheds some helpful ray, And, man by man, each helping all the rest, Makes the firm bulwark of the Church’s power. Christian Workers’ Manual The only unfortunate thing, to our mind, about this book by Prof. H. S. Miller, is that it was not given a title that would suggest its immense value to young Bible students. We have been waiting for just such a work as this, making simple the great doctrines of the Bible for the laymen. At the same time the great assortment of Bible ma- terial makes the book a. valuable man ual for any Christian worker, but we trust it will find its way into thousanus of Christian homes. Mr. Miller has put into the book the gist of his classroom lessons on vital doctrines and practices of the faith, and any person mastering the contents would have an equipment that would make him an efficient work er for Christ. Several of Mr'. Miller’s books for Christian workers have had a large sale, and his long experience as a trainer of Christian workers has quali fied him to know exactly what is needed. Cloth, $1.50. The Bible This 25-cent booklet dealing -with the inerrancy, interpretation and in struction of the Bible, is written by Robert G. Phelps, a lawyer, and is a good one to circulate among those who have “ intellectual difficulties.” Mr. •Phelps reasons very clearly on these matters and his arguments are irref utable. We think the Colportage As sociation did a good thing to publish this, and trust it will have a large sale. Grace Probably no book has appeared in a number of years that more comprehen sively states the glories of divine Grace with their exact relation to human con duct than does this new work by Lewis Sperry Chafer, the well-known Bible teacher. The author makes clear as crystal the vital distinctions in the Gos pel between grace and human merit. The book is a complete answer to every form of legalism and is a good antidote to modernism and all cults which in any way make salvation or keeping de pendent upon works. The question of God’s keeping of the born-again person by His grace is beautifully treated and the reading of the book will help to es tablish many who have been professing
