VITCAS ® ACIDCAS CEMENT/MORTAR Vitcas ® Acidcas Cement is a two-part silicate type mortar which resists all acids, hot and cold, with the exception of hydrofluoric. It also withstands temperatures up to 1400ºC /2550°F with an acid resistance of minimum 96%. (BS 784). Examples of application: bedding and jointing of acid resistant bricks and tiles on floors, acid tanks, chimney linings and bonded brickwork in acidic soil. VITCAS ® ACIDCAS CONCRETE Vitcas ® Acidcas Concrete is a two-part silicate type graded aggregate/cement mix which is used for structural work without bricks or tiles. Maximum temperature in service 1400ºC /2550°F with an acid resistance of minimum 96%. (BS 784). Examples of application: laying floors, sulphur pits and bunds. VITCAS ® ACIDCAS PATCH/RENDER Vitcas ® Acidcas Patch is a two-part silicate type render which can be used to increase the acid resistance of an existing structure. On vertical surfaces the material should be rendered onto a metal mesh support. Maximum temperature in service 1400ºC /2550°F with an acid resistance of minimum 96%. (BS 784). Examples of application: rendering on the inside of existing concrete tanks, onto concrete floors and bunds.
Vitcas ® Acidcas is a two-part silicate type cement which resists all acids, hot and cold, with the exception of hydrofluoric. It also withstands temperatures up to 1400ºC /2550°F. Whereas Acidcas Cement can only be used as a jointing material the Acidcas Patch and Concrete can be used as monolithic materials i.e. as an alternative to bricks and tiles.
