Personal Safety Order SANCTIONS THREE ABUSIVE Co-workers

My husband has told me he was friends with Julian Knight’s father who was an army officer. 9 August 1987 Hoddle Street, Clifton Hill, shortly after 9.00pm, Hoddle Street Massacre. Six people were shot dead and 19 others wounded. The killer was former Australian Army officer-cadet, 19- year-old Julien Knight . Julien had been expelled from the Royal Military College, Duntroon months before for stabbing a sergeant at a Canberra nightclub, and was released on bail pending trial. My husbands’ stepson Andrew Albury was in the Army, in the Northern Territory. He also told me that they had bought him a one way ticket to Darwin to get rid of him from the household. Both these boys were at Turana, where my husband met Ralph Knight. From Northern Territory Times…Andy Albury was the product of a broken marriage. He never knew his father and lived with his mother and older brother. He described his stepfather as a violent man, who would give him harsh beatings. He spent most of his childhood on the Mornington Peninsula, about 70km southeast of Melbourne, and had limited schooling. At some point during his childhood Albury came to the Territory and attended Nightcliff Primary School. But he was deemed “uncontrollable”. He was made a Ward of the State and placed in Victoria’s Turana Youth Detention Centre — which has been labelled dangerous and unhealthy — at 15. At 17, he started work on a cattle station in Western Australia. The work ended after six months and Andy’s life became quite transient, with short-term jobs on stations and in roadhouses in Kununurra and Coober Pedy, South Australia. He was a donkey shooter before joining the army in early 1981 — aged 19. Albury described his year in the military as “running around with an M-60 machinegun”. John Marriott’s stepson Andrew Albury diagnosed as schizophrenic in 1988 — Detectives interviewed John Marriott shortly after we had married at his factories in Hastings.

Letter written by my sister — Friday 17th January 2020 proof that family believed her to be schizophrenic

The letter that is being used by _____ _____ and my brother-in-law as supposed proof that her family believed her to be bi-polar and/or schizophrenic was written by me (around 1990) after a conversation with John Marriott , in which we discussed the nature and possible cause of certain behaviour being exhibited by my sister… …I had read an article about schizophrenia and post-natal depression. I suspected that my sister had suffered post-natal depression after the birth of her eldest son in 1986 and the article had said that untreated post- natal depression could be a contributing factor in developing schizophrenia. When I discussed this with John Marriott after the birth of her youngest child (there being three more children born in between) I remember him rather tersely responding that that may well be the case but schizophrenia was what her behaviour indicated and that’s what we needed to deal with. Having known John Marriott since I was very young, I was inclined to believe what he said, apart from being rather taken aback by his terse response. I believe it was his suggestion that I write the letter to tell her Page 7 of 27
