280 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
It’s not common that someone is part of the same team for 40 years. It’s even rarer for one team to have a group of 40-plus-year associates. That’s exactly what our Jackson TN service center boasts – seven associates who have long-believed in our Winner's Circle -- taking care of Our Customers , supporting Our Associates , and securing Our Future . • David Butler, city • Sherry Davis, administrative leader • Tony Moore, city Jackson TN Boasts Seven Associates With 40+ Years OF Experience Bobby – who spent nine years as a city driver before moving to shuttle – says success in Jackson and throughout our company has been predicated on hiring the best people. “We’ve got good people,” says Bobby, whose son Bobby Jr. is a preventive maintenance associate at Jackson. “You just tell them what needs to be done, and they know how to do it. I’m proud to work with everybody here. We’ve turned over through the years with retirements, and other people have stepped in. And we always seem to get good people. Averitt knows how to pick them.” Jackson TN Service Center Director KYLE JUAN says his associates' longevity is a testament to who they are as people. “Achieving this milestone speaks volumes about this group's character and resilience, and also about the strength of the company they've helped shape,” Kyle says. “These aren't just long careers; they've all invested those years into helping build something bigger than any individual: a community of kind, consistent people who always have each other's backs. We are all very fortunate to have the opportunity to continue learning from them and to continue working alongside them.” ‘TEAM EFFORT FROM THE GET-GO’ Sherry says she knew from the start that Averitt was going to be the right fit for her. “It was a team effort from the get-go,” Sherry explains. “It’s one of those • Michael Smith, shuttle • Steve Vanstory, shuttle • Bobby White Sr., shuttle • Michael Wilson, city HIRING THE BEST

things where if you’re happy, why go somewhere else?” Sherry adds that she has enjoyed the ongoing growth process of Averitt in the transportation industry. “I tell everybody I was BC – before computers,” Sherry says with a laugh. “There have been a lot of changes since then. The growth of Averitt tells you it’s a good place to be. And we’ve been like family. I know all their kids, they know all my kids, and I know their grandkids. You couldn’t ask for a better bunch of folks to work with. That means a lot if you enjoy your job, don’t mind getting up and going to work, and you’ve got a smile on your face when you get home.” ROLLING IN STYLE Meanwhile, Bobby knew working at Averitt would be his long-term career once he saw our equipment. “I had driven junk before I came to Averitt,” Bobby jokes. “Boy, I got into an Averitt truck, and I said, ‘This is the deal here.’ I’ve been in a new truck every two or three years since. The one I’ve got now, I absolutely love it. I’m happy with it, and I guess it’s happy with me.” Bobby plans to retire soon to help take care of his wife. But in the meantime, he’s enjoying delivering outstanding service while keeping his truck tidy. “I’ve got a good city partner who helps me take care of it,” he says. “I’m a fanatic about keeping my truck clean – outside and inside.” Kyle is thankful he’s got such an experienced group that understands our culture and our commitment to excellence. “You just can't measure the kind of value that walks in the door with someone who's been here for four decades,” he says. Thank you to our Jackson associates for everything you’ve brought to our team through the years. Because of your example, we look forward to building on that standard for years to come! T m
