2023 Small Animal Exhibitor Guide

DEPARTMENT 11 Open Class Pigeon Show 1. All birds will be judged in accordance with the latest standards adopted by

the leading specialty clubs of America. Where no American standard is en vogue, the latest European standard will be used. Only recognized colors shall be considered in “Any Color” (AC), or “Any Other Color” (AOC). 2. All substitutions must be brought to the attention of the Small Animal Department Secretary not less than 24 hours prior to check in. See State Rules. Call (925) 426-7614 3. All young birds must be identified by a serially numbered current year seamless leg band of the correct size, conforming to the entry form on arrival at the show. Old birds must have either seamless or split prior year serially numbered band conforming to the entry form. 4. Pigeons will be divided into divisions after close of entry. Varieties must have at least 5 birds entered by at least 3 exhibitors to qualify for a separate division. All others will be shown under “Miscellaneous” division. No exhibitor may receive more than two cash awards in any class.
