Welcome. While the approach of the new year brings its usual challenges, like meeting year-end deadlines and closing out 2019, it is also a time so full of cheer and hope. This month, my colleagues and I in the Nonprofit, Government & Healthcare Group are humbled to accept the 2019 Changemakers award being presented to Marks Paneth by the Human Services Council of New York. It is an honor to serve New York’s nonprofits, and this outpouring of support from the nonprofit community continues to bring cheer and hope to us all. It’s hard to believe that this is our last issue of Nonprofit & Government Times for the year, but we’ve packed it full of guidance designed to help you and your organization start the new year off stronger than ever. With insights into how the TCJA really affected charitable giving, considerations as you aim to fulfil your mission without sacrificing important resources, and much more, we hope this issue helps you greet the new year—and new decade—with great success.
