15. Legal support services or representatives 1. Send your notifications to the relevant Family Violence Court Liaison officer (FVCLO) or police prosecutor via the relevant Police Prosecutions Unit. 16. What happens if a review finds misidentification occurred? 1. If police find that misidentification has occurred, we will consider how to correct the misidentification. 2. The specific action to correct the misidentification will depend on the circumstances of each case, but may include: 3. updating police records and submitting new referrals for support for those involved 4. correcting intervention orders: 5. withdrawing intervention order applications against the person re-identified as the AFM 6. applying for a new intervention order to protect the person re-identified as the AFM 7. reconsidering the appropriateness of proceeding with any criminal charges against the person re- identified as the AFM 8. reviewing and implementing appropriate risk management strategies, such as safety planning and engagement with specialist family violence services 17. We will communicate the outcome of the review by: 1. engaging with the AFM and predominant aggressor and notifying them of the outcome actions (where it is safe to do so) 2. sharing updated information with other agencies and support services, including making any mandatory notifications to Child Protection. 18. Review of the initial predominant aggressor 1. A review of the initial predominant aggressor determination can involve: 2. speaking with relevant internal parties, such as: 3. the responding police 4. other supervisors, or 5. a police prosecutor 6. speaking with relevant external agencies, support services or legal representatives or other agencies 7. reviewing internal Victoria Police information 8. seeking further information such as speaking with any additional witnesses. 9.
