Family Violence Perpetrated Whilst Protected By Police FVIO

wall and basically like a foam mattress, that’s it. And you could be in there potentially for days. - I would have been on remand for over 150 days! Until Victoria Police realised they did not have evidence to charge me with stalking and then applied to have the Personal Safety Order revoked due to error by a magistrate. Corroborator: A lady of your good history shouldn’t be there

MM: I understand. I’ll take that onboard First Constable: So please, no communication, no publication

First Constable: Yeah that’s a great idea, at least just suspend it for now

MM: But you know what that means? It means that they’ve won. They’ve absolutely smashed my life to smithereens. I live on Facebook, social media – I do the Bairnsdale RSL Facebook page. My whole way of life is run through social media Corroborator: You can still use it, you just can’t publish anything about _______ MM: Yeah I understand, but I’d say that those posts are about what is happening to me and the injustice of it and the total waste of police and Magistrates’ time. This could have been fixed back in April 2019 when I went to the Justice Department mediation and then the fact that the Magistrate has just validated... My husband was there in court, to see me... to basically have them say “yep, go for it boys. You’ve got every right to take everything from her”. If find it incomprehensible. But I will stop posting on Facebook First Constable: So what you’re saying is what you’re posting on Facebook is you venting? MM: No, I’m not venting. I am saying that I am in a very precarious, disastrous situation, and no domestic violence services, no police help, no help from anybody. First Constable: So what we can do is get some referrals for you. - no referrals were forthcoming

Corroborator: I’ll talk to you about it later

MM: Yeah ok, let’s do that First Constable: Let’s just finish off with this formal part...

MM: Yep I understand First Constable: So we’ve done the formal caution before. Now, you’re going to be charged with offences: breaching the intervention order, stalking, that we talked about. Your fingerprints are required for identification and these may be used in evidence. If you refuse to give them voluntarily, a member of the police force may use reasonable force to obtain them. If you’re not charged of the relevant offence within 6 months, or are so charged but the charge is not proceeded with, or you’re found not guilty of the offence, your fingerprints will be destroyed. Do you understand this information?

MM: Yes First Constable: Do you consent to giving your fingerprints? MM: Yes First Constable: Interview is concluded at 6:20pm
