Spot teaches kids the importance of applying sunscreen and other sun-safety techniques to help build life-long habits.

Spot knows how important sunscreen is. He uses it every day, even when it’s rainy or cloudy. Look how Spot makes sure he gets sunscreen everywhere it needs to be! How to Use Sunscreen Like Spot

Ti lt your head back to reach everywhere on the front of your neck. Then look down at the ground and put sunscreen all over the back of your neck and behind your ears.

Put sunscreen all over your face, nose and lips. Be careful around your eyes and don’t f orget your ears!

Remember to put on sunscreen 30 minutes before you plan to go outside.

Almost done! If you can’t reach a part of your body, ask a friend or family member to help you with hard-to-reach areas like your back.

Use sunscreen on your arms from your shoulders down to your fingertips, and then on the front and back of your legs all

the way down to your feet.

Stick out your chest and put sunscreen everywhere on your front and sides from your neck to your waist.

Meet Spot! Spot loves to play outside with his friends, but he knows too much sun could hurt his skin. Here’s how Spot stays sun safe, and you can too! Stay Sun Safe with Spot

Before going out, choose sun- safe clothing like a wide-brimmed hat, long sleeves and sunglasses.

Plan your outdoor activities and play time to avoid peak sun hours between 10 am and 2 pm.

Remember to reapply a broad- spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every two hours, or more often if you sweat or go swimming.

When playing outside, try to find shady areas to stay cool and protected from the sun’s UV rays.
