This is a good tiine to re-evaluate your society, the work you are doing, your program for the coming

Fall, W inter and Spring, your objectives and how to reach them. You w ill want to put our Lord Jesus Christ at the very center of your Society and in all that you plan to do. STUDY QUESTIONS 1. Sept. 2 — Commendable Labor — Prov. 31:13-20 Sept. 3 — Cooperative Labor — Phil. 4:1-3 Sept. 4 — Careful use of Time — Eph. 5:14-17 HEART OF THE LESSON The topic has been taken out of its context inasmuch as the text from which it comes (2 Tim . 2:15) has to do with diligent study of the W ord of God. There is, however, probably a legitimate appli cation of the truth of this text to the entire life of the believer. Certainly it is good, at this time when we think of the laboring man on Labor Day, to survey the Christian’s life to see if he is a good workman in all he does for the glory of God (cp. 1 Cor. 10:31). STUDY QUESTIONS Note: It is suggested that the leader of the discussion period study beforetime these questions using the Scriptures as his guide. He w ill no doubt wish to add other questions in the light of the known needs of the group. 1. Is there anything to be ashamed of in any line of legitimate work? 2. It is God’s design that every man should be engaged in some line of profit able and honorable employment, (cp. 4. Do you think the employee should be fair with his employer with regard to the quality and'quantity of work given? (cp. Eph. 6:5-8). 5. W ho should the Christian laboring man regard as his true “ Boss” ? (Eph. 6:5.) Ex. 2 0 :8 ,9 ; 2 Thess. 3:10-15, etc.) 3. W h y do you think this is so?
