WINTER OUTDOOR PROGRAMMING
Hike for Hope
NEW
On January 18th we remember & celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. and his idea that this nation can be better if we all come together and work towards making it a better place. His “I Have a Dream” speech continues to serve as a call for equality and freedom, first spoken in 1963, and still relevant today.
To honor MLK Jr., Dublin Recreation Services is offering a Hike for Hope. 20 signs of Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech will be placed along the walking path in M.L. ‘Red’ Trabue Nature Preserve. V isit the park anytime January 16 - 22 to complete your hike, enjoy the beauty of the park while learning and reflecting on his speech in its entirety. Once complete, share a photo of your hike and one way you plan to renew your sense of hope in the New Year. All information provided is optional and will be shared through our social media platforms to show the strength of hope in 2021 for our Dublin community. For the health and safety of our community, please follow all current safety protocol by wearing a mask and social distancing while in our parks. Remember we are all in this together!
