Akusti Fabric Wall Panels Akusti Impact Akusti Art

What Are Fabric Wall Panels?

Akustisol product range not only provides an absorbent surface, they also provide an aesthetic solution. So it’s also about striking a balance between the visual aspects of the room (based on the available wall hanging space and not overcrowding the space with pictures) versus the required level of sound improvement (the greater the panel coverage area the better the sound improvement) > Slight Sound Improvement: A minimum panel coverage area of at least 10% of the oor area to achieve a slight sound improvement. > Good Sound Improvement: Ideally aim for a panel coverage area of at 20-30% of the oor area to achieve a good and noticeable reduction in acoustic problems > Excellent Sound Improvement: For an excellent sound improvement, or where spaces have a severe sound problem, consider a coverage area of 30-45% of the oor area. The above is a guide, based on a typical room of a ceiling height of up to about 3m, with the space comprising mainly of sound reecting materials (e.g. hard oors, smooth walls, glass surfaces, ceilings with poor acoustic properties, a few pieces of furniture). We Recommend The Following:

The panels are available in standard and bespoke sizes to suit your design and requirements. These can also be manufactured in various shapes including circles and eclipse shapes (see our Akusti Stone range). With a variety of fabric colours and innovative shapes the Akusti Fabric panel can not only change the acoustics of your space but also make it more aesthetically pleasing. Standard Sizes (available in 25 and 40mm thick) 1200 x 900mm 1200 x1200mm 1200 x 1800mm 1200 x 2100mm 1200 x2400mm 1200 x 2700mm Due to the directional weave in the fabric we use, it is imperative that the height and width dimension of each panel to be stated when ordering.

Dimensional tolerance of panels: +/- 4mm

How Many Panels Do I Need?

There is no denitive answer to how many panels you need, as every space will have dierent requirements and variables to consider, including the oor space, height of ceilings and amount of “reective” material in the space (such as glass, tiled oors etc).

Akusti Fabric Wall Panels Akusti Impact Akusti Art

Cleaning

Additionally, a room can be ‘tuned’ by adding more panels as necessary.

After completing installation remove dust from baes by using a mild carpet spot cleaner. A small area should be tested before doing the rest of the area to ensure that the fabric is not adversely aected.

Akusti Rafts

Installation

Product specication

The installation time for our Akusti Raft panels is easy and quick. In fact, it does not require specialist tter to carry out the installation. The acoustic rafts are simply suspended by steel cables from the sot by means of special spiral hooks which are tted into the reverse of the raft by means of clockwise rotation. Height level adjustment can be carried out by manipulating the length of each cable to suit when it is inserted into the eyelet hook. Akusti Raft can be set at an angle if required to increase design and aesthetic properties. The spiral hooks should be placed approximately 200mm in from the edge of the raft panel. For angled installation, we recommend the largest panels to be no more than 600mm x 600mm.
