PERSON SPECIFICATION Desirable skills/qualifications:
• Recent and relevant experience leading a compliance function in an educational setting. • Up-to-date understanding of, and preferably experience of, operating within the legal and regulatory frameworks impacting on the education sector. • Experience of working in or advising the independent school sector would be an advantage. • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively, and as part of a wider management team. • Experience of working closely with Governors would be an added advantage. • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing at all levels. • Experience and understanding of good governance. • Experience in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information. • A meticulous, systematic and thorough approach, with excellent attention to detail. • A commitment to the highest professional standards and to ongoing professional development. • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline. • A legal qualification, company secretarial experience, or experience in an audit capacity would be an added advantage. • Excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel.
