A NOTE FROM SYLVIA
As we close out our fiscal year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the resilience and commitment that power Twin Cities PBS. In a year marked by deep uncertainty and serious threats to federal funding for public media, we are reminded that TPT’s greatest strength is you—our members, donors and viewers. Your steadfast support continues to inspire us every day and enables us to serve our community with trusted programming and essential services for every age and life stage. This month, I’m excited to share a few highlights that reflect the heart of what public media does best: inform, enrich and connect. On August 11, we’re proud to present a special preview of Ken Burns’ “The American Revolution.” Eight years in the making, this sweeping six-part, 12-hour documentary series explores how the early formation of the United States sparked a global wave of democratic change. Premiering nationally in November, this preview offers TPT viewers an early look at a story as relevant today as it was 250 years ago. Later in the month, our beloved Sunday night mysteries return on August 24, with new seasons of “Professor T,” “The Marlow Murder Club” and the fan-favorite “Unforgotten.” These dramas continue to delight and surprise, drawing us into stories of intrigue that light up summer evenings with a dash of wonder and surprise. As we look ahead, we know that TPT’s ability to endure and thrive depends on our community, and the moment is now to protect the future of public media. If you’re in a position to deepen your support, we invite you to do so at TPT.org/GiveNow. Every contribution helps ensure that TPT remains a trusted, independent, freely accessible source of public affairs coverage, storytelling and lifelong learning—for everyone.
