PERSON SPECIFICATION Desirable skills/qualifications:

• Substantial experience of leading and managing a large and complex estate. • Experience of working in an educational environment is desirable. • Proven experience of administrative and financial responsibilities including compiling and monitoring budgets. • Experience in the management of major infrastructure projects. • Experience of managing outsourced contracts. • Strong people management skills with the ability to resolve difficult situations, implement change and foster excellent working relationships. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • The ability to prioritise and work under pressure to tight deadlines. • A flexible and adaptive approach to work. • The willingness to oversee 24-hour call out arrangements and to attend the campus in case of emergency. • Educated to degree level. • A relevant qualification in building surveying, or a related area, is desirable.
