Crescent Moon’s Paulinus is an absolute gem! He just has it all! His stunning head is the first thing you see before you move to his thick and compact frame and exceptional bone substance. He is well covered and to say he is easy to handle is almost an understatement. His fleece is dense, I mean really dense, and when its shorn it comes off in this perfect blanket that feels like a mattress as it lays there on the shearing room floor. Over and over the AOA Judges recognized this in the show ring as he won 12 Championships and 3 Reserve Championships along with 5 Judges Choice Awards and the 2023 AOA Fawn Male National Championship. In 2023 his winning ways also earned him the distinction of the #2 High Point Male coming all the way from the west coast and in 2022 he earned the #6 High Point Male placing. The Dam of Paulinus is Crescent Moon’s 2nd Hand Rose, a cornerstone here. But the story needs to start with her dam, Crescent Moon’s Posie who was the 2005 AOBA Light Female National Champion. Posie, was so impressive that at the end of the show, the judge came back to our stalls to have a look at her one more time. I think that had we had a Judges Choice Award back then, I dare say Posie would have been in the running! Back to 2nd Hand Rose whose progeny are revered by us here and Paulinus tops that incredible list of offspring. His sire is the exceptional Crescent Moon’s Sizzlin Shak, who is offered in this sale too. His owners will address him in his write up.
