GREETINGS ALPACA ENTHUSIASTS
Helloooo Alpaca Friends and Welcome! This marks 17 years of this special weekend and aside from the Parade of Champions is the longest running private event in the industry. We are so grateful for your attendance and participation with us. We host it but it is all about you! Our passion for the success of others in this incredible industry is second to none and we prove that year after year. Our curriculum has been advanced for the last several years so this year we have decided to go back to the basics. Check the schedule in the catalog to see what’s on the agenda. This years EDU weekend will be very practical and, on the farm, useful. As always, we will have a great time, learn a little or a lot, eat well, socialize well, and generally go home smarter than when we arrived, sometimes with an extra pound or two! 😊 The weather this time of year is normally ideal. Expect highs in the mid 80’s to lower 90’s and lows in the mid 40’s to lower 50’s so a light jacket or sweater is prudent. The World of alpacas has been very busy since we saw you last. Many travelled to Peru for the International Alpaca Fiesta (only happens every four years) and celebrated the “Year of the Camelid” Our own Amanda had the honor to judge along side some of the most respected judges in Peru at the Fiesta, an experience bar none, she would be happy to share
some of her experiences. At EDU we welcome our Peruvian guests and learn about the amazing work through non profits, Quechua Benefit & Arte Michell, Peru helping the Andean farmers and education to the children. March 2025 we saw the World Alpaca Conference in Germany, a fantastic event bringing breeders & presenters together internationally. Now the amazing opportunity to attend the 2025 Education with a Destination, in Central Oregon. We are proud to offer to you as it belongs to you all and your passion for the alpaca. And again, this year we host The Destination Live Animal Auction. It should be a great sale and a fun afternoon. The auction happens here but couldn’t be accomplished without the attention and guidance of Tim and Teresa Vincent of Celebrity Sales. They work their tails off to host a first-rate event for all of us and they always succeed. We are so blessed to have their help. If you have any questions at all concerning the auction, please spend some time with them. They are always glad to help. We can’t wait to see you all! Come with you brains wide open for learning, your hearts warm for your friends and the alpaca, your nerves relaxed, your tummies empty and finally, ready for a great time!
