As a daughter of Snowmass Matrix Belvedere and a grand daughter of Manifest- Destiny and National Gray Female Champion/Futurity Champion, Crescent Moon’s Rosie Locks, there are some positive things happening here. Polka Dot Locks has a multitude of color patches throughout her blanket. Honestly, I don’t know how many different colors are represented there but I can say they are abundant. She is genotyped a classic gray and that makes sense to me. I believe if she were to go into the show ring they would put her in the gray female class, but I have been wrong before! Anyway, she is interesting and so is her fleece. It is long and quite dense and reveals superior uniformity between all of the different colored fibers present there. Her first pairing will be here and if we were to pursue the spotty component of her DNA we would likely choose, Crescent Moon’s Golden Locks, whose dam has already produced an appaloosa when bred that way and his sire did the same without even that thought in mind. If you want to consider producing grey, the job shifts to Crescent Moon’s Emmaus.
