Valent U.S.A. LLC Valent Tank Cleaner For use after applications of flumioxazin-based products
Cleaning Procedure Spray equipment, including mixing vessels and nurse tanks, must be cleaned each day following flumioxazin-based product application and before spraying over the top of any crop. After flumioxazin- based product is applied, always use Valent Tank Cleaner at a concentration of one gallon per 100 gallons of water. Valent Tank Cleaner neutralizes and removes flumioxazin residue when the correct concentration is mixed and kept in the tank, hoses and nozzles overnight in a pressurized system.

DRAIN AND RINSE Completely drain the spray tank and rinse the sprayer thoroughly, including the inside and outside of the tank and all in-line screens.
FILL AND FLUSH Fill the spray tank with clean water and flush all hoses, booms, screens and nozzles.
ADD CLEANER AND CIRCULATE Top off tank, add one gallon of 3% household ammonia (or equivalent) for every 100 gallons of water, circulate through sprayer for 5 minutes, and then flush all hoses, booms, screens and nozzles for a minimum of 15 minutes. If diaphragms are being used on the spray boom, loosen diaphragms before flushing the spray system, allowing cleaning solution to spray through the open diaphragm. If spray lines have any end caps, they must be loosened before flushing the system, allowing cleaning solution to spray through the loosened caps. If the flumioxazin-based product is allowed to settle out in the spray tanks, use Valent Tank Cleaner in place of ammonia and allow the cleaning solution to remain in the pressurized spray system (spray tank, hoses and boom) overnight (a minimum eight hours) before flushing the system for a minimum of 15 minutes with clean water.

DRAIN TANK Drain tank completely.
FILL AND FLUSH Add enough clean water to the spray tank to allow all hoses, booms, screens and nozzles to be flushed for 2 minutes.
REMOVE AND RINSE Remove all nozzles and screens and rinse them in clean water.
Spray equipment, including all tanks, hoses, booms, screens and nozzles, should be thoroughly cleaned before being used to apply postemergence pesticides. Equipment with flumioxazin residue remaining in the system may result in injury to the subsequently treated crop. Using Valent Tank Cleaner, this procedure will clean out your tank, hoses, nozzles and screens, if followed as described. Valent Tank Cleaner is available from your Valent supplier.
