SM RT brief

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop opened on the east side last month, Wichita’s first and the country’s largest. The new restaurant at 306 N. Rock Rd. is about 2,500 square feet larger than an average Fuzzy’s. Most of the additional space is a banquet room that will be available for meetings and dinners and will be able to seat 60 to 100 people. To dine in customers order at the counter and receive a pager that buzzes when your meal is ready to pick up. Fuzzy’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Construction began early last month on a new skilled nursing facility at 13th and Webb Rd . The Center at Waterfront will be a 70,000-square-foot, three-story rehabilitation facility for post-acute care. The center will hold 80 beds and will have indoor and outdoor physical therapy areas. It will also feature dining and food options as well as activity centers and a salon. The project includes 120 physicians from the Wichita area. The facility is expected to open in March 2019. A new development in Wichita will be constructed from repurposed shipping containers. Plans are underway on the Revolutsia development at Central and Volutsia . Bokeh Development’s project will feature 12,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space created with 36 shipping containers surrounding an outdoor food court. The site, which is west of Hillside , already holds a small stone building which will be renovated and incorporated into the project. Shipping container developments have been gaining popularity in larger cities across the country.
